A worldwide beer company needed comprehensive, scalable AV capabilities across a spectrum of environments, including small, medium, large and extra-large conference rooms; the boardroom; training room; huddle rooms; an innovation room; and common spaces, including a working pub with an adjacent AV-equipped terrace.

Following a detailed needs analysis, SVT collaborated with the client to design, integrate and provide service and support for a standardized, highly scalable AV solution that could evolve along with the organization’s requirements. The integration itself was staged to minimize office disruption across the three floors where the work took place.

Designed to function as an enhanced Microsoft Teams room, the XL Conference Room features a 110” Primeview display at the front of the room and a Crestron Flex UC-C100-T integrator kit with a UC engine assembly plate and tabletop touch screen. A Logitech Rally Camera integrates with the Flex Kit and is connected via a Sound Control Technologies extender. A Shure P300 DSP integrated with (2) MXA920W ceiling microphones and (8) MXN5 Dante-powered ceiling speakers provides a premium audio experience. A simple display controller allows for display on/off in sync with the wake/sleep status of the MTR.

Two owner-furnished table boxes with HDMI content-sharing capabilities are supported by an auto-switcher located under the table and configured to switch and stay at the last detected signal input. Switcher output is wired back to the content ingest of the Crestron Flex for local use in the room or through an MTR meeting.

MTR compute is centralized in the 34th floor AV closet and extended to the video wall by way of an HDBT extender kit with cable runs facilitated by the low voltage contractor. The network switch with POE+ allotted for this room’s Dante audio network is deployable either in the room or at a central IT or AV rack. Each of the room’s two doors has a Logitech Tap room scheduler device paired with the room’s MTR license.

Like the XL Conference Room, this is an enhanced Microsoft Teams room running on Crestron Flex hardware. The primary display is a 138” Primeview 1.5mm DvLED wall installed at the front of the room. A Crestron Flex UC-C100-T integrator kit includes a UC engine assembly plate and tabletop touch screen and a Crestron dual camera-tracking Hawk system at the front of the room provides video coverage.

A Shure P300 DSP integrated with (2) MXA920W ceiling microphones and (8) MXN5 Dante-powered ceiling speakers provides a premium audio experience. An expansive environment used for public gatherings, all-hands meetings, presentations and live streams, the Pub is outfitted with (2) wall-mounted 86” panels that are integrated with a Microsoft Teams Room (MTR) system as well as local-content sharing input plates. The MTR is integrated with a DSP that supports (4) ceiling mic arrays and (4) wireless microphone channels.

Video coverage is provided an auto-tracking camera that captures and follows the speaker at the front of the room, along with two additional cameras placed where they can be manually operated or controlled via presets triggered by logic from the microphone system.

Amplifiers drive (8) zones of ceiling speakers and subwoofers deliver premium speech reinforcement and conferencing audio. The overhead speaker system plays wireless microphone audio exclusively, while ceiling microphones are used only for conferencing applications.

The Pub also features two IO interface panels (with TIE lines terminated to custom panels in the AV rack) that provide the following connectivity: video encode (DM-NVX) – including (2) DM encoders; video decode (DM-NVX) – including (2) DM decoders; (1) XLR Mic input; (2) XLR outputs; (4) XLR-TRS TIE lines; snf (4) Cat 6 data cabling. A single wall-mounted Bluetooth transmitter is available for a BGM source. One Crestron touch panel, located at the bar and bundled with the MTR, provides primary conferencing functions. Two additional touch panels are available at each column interface panel for more general use of the room and to handle the advanced room controls.

On the adjacent Terrace, a 4CH AVB networked amplifier drives (8) JBL Control 88M landscape speakers distributed across space and placed in planters and beds to provide background music (BGM) and overflow from the pub AV system. Audio is controlled by a Crestron touch panel located in the Pub.

A huddle room on the 34th floor provides a venue for small meetings with 3-4 people. SVT outfitted this room with a wall-mounted 49” display on a pull-out mount integrated with a Logitech Rally Bar Huddle and Logitech Tap Base Bundle. The Rally Bar Huddle is mounted below the display on the Rally Bar mount. The Tap controller is placed at the conference table. A simple display controller allows for display on/off in sync with the wake/sleep status of the MTR. The entry door has a Logitech Tap room scheduler device paired with the room’s MTR license.

The Training Room integration comprises three spaces (referred to as rooms A, B and C) that can be used as standalone environments or combined using room partitions into one or two spaces. Each room is outfitted with a Crestron Flex Microsoft Teams Room (MTR) with input connectivity for use as a standalone presentation system.

Rooms A, B and C are outfitted with an 86” wall-mounted display, Crestron Flex MTR, Huddly L1 Camera (front), Aver TR313V2 Camera (rear), HDMI input plate, HDMI input encoder integrated with floor box and table, (4) pendant speakers (white), (2) Shure MXA920W-R% ceiling mic arrays (white), and a shared control system and audio DSP/amplifier.

Room B – which serves as the principal control hub when the rooms are combined – features a 123” recessed electric projection screen with ceiling-recessed projector and lift, as well as (2) wireless handheld microphone systems, (2) wireless bodypack microphone transmitters with (2) clip-on lapel and (2) hard-worn microphones, wireless mic-charging bay (located in AV rack), aecond HDMI wall plate input and a Crestron DM-NVX solution for AV-over-IP video distribution. The centralized Crestron control system in Room B also allows for advanced functions including displays on/off, screen raising and lowering, input selection for both MTR content sharing or local presentation, matrix video switching, ceiling mic mute and wireless mic level controls.

Crestron partition sensors provide automated room combine modes when walls are opened or closed. Each rooms doors have a Logitech Tap room scheduler device paired with the room’s MTR license.

For the client’s Innovation Room, SVT installed dual 86” displays mounted side by side and integrated with a Crestron Flex UC-C100-T paired with a Logitech Rally Cam (mounted above or below displays) and Shure P300 DSP, dual MXA920 ceiling mics and 6 Shure POE Dante ceiling pendant speakers. A 50” Microsoft Surface Hub on a rolling cart is paired with the room’s MTR for coordinated meetings. Outside the Innovation Room is a Logitech Tap room scheduler device paired with the room’s MTR license.

These collaboration environments are outfitted with a wall-mounted 55” and 65” displays on a pull-out mount integrated with a Logitech Rally Bar and Logitech Tap Base Bundle. The Rally Bar is mounted below the display on the Rally Bar Mount. The Tap controller is placed at the conference table. A simple display controller allows for display on/off in sync with the wake/sleep status of the MTR. An HDMI cable integrated with the Tap controller allows for wired content-sharing either in a Teams meeting or local to the room. Outside the room’s door is a Logitech Tap room scheduler device paired with the room’s MTR license.
