Service Manager

Career Spotlight: Service Manager

The Service Manager will be responsible to ensure that service is planned, quoted, and scheduled to be completed. The Service Manager will be accountable for the accurate billing and invoicing of the work that has been completed, the proper coding of tickets, (warranty, customer pay, service contract) throughout the lifecycle of the customer interaction with the SVT service department.

Senior Service Technician

The Senior Service Technician must also fully participate in the installation process while on site.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Interface with external/internal clients and manufacturer vendors
  • Works with onsite team to confirm project schedules are met in conjunction with the customer’s requirements and requests Project Management approval for overtime as necessary to meet project schedules.
  • Conducts on site orientations and meetings; assures that established policies and procedures are followed.
  • In situations where sub-contractors are needed, trains external sub-contractors on relevant functions; conducts on site orientations and meetings; assures that established policies and procedures are followed.
  • Promptly reports all on site project problems to Project Manager and helps work on resolution of issues; assures that project is completed on time and on budget.
  • Main customer contact while on site for installation projects.
  • Performs other project duties as required.

Education or Experience
  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • 3-5 years’ experience in A/V integration to include equipment rack fabrication, site preparation, termination and calibration of audio and video equipment, and implementation of control systems
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a lead technician, overseeing crews.
  • Experience terminating Cat5/6 and coaxial cable with a variety of connectors, infrastructure cabling and termination skills
  • Additional certifications a plus

Standing or sitting for extended periods is common. Senior Technician

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Interface with external/internal clients and manufacturer vendors

Service Technician

The Service Technician handles all onsite service tickets for the customer. They are the focal contact for issues that arise with the customers A/V systems and technology.

The technician will record all issues that exist in the SVT ticketing system and will respond to correct the problems that arise. The technician will act as a liaison between the customer and SVT and will deliver a premium customer experience to the end users.

  • Promptly reports all on site issues brought to them and provide resolutions when possible
  • Promptly reports all onsite issues that cannot be immediately resolved to the service department
  • Insures that any assistance needed from an engineer or programmer is promptly requested and sourced for

  • May require travel to headquarters for training and leadership visits
